Robert
A. Weinberger received his undergraduate degree in Biopsychology and Neurophysiology
in 1976 from the University of Colorado, and his law degree from the University
of San Diego and the University of Denver in 1979. He was admitted to practice
in 1979. Mr. Weinberger
formed the Law Offices of Robert A. Weinberger, P.C. in February of 1989.
Mr. Weinberger
practices general liability and defense law. His representation
includes premises liability, products liability, personal
injury litigation, construction law (representing contractors,
architects, engineers, health practitioners, health facilities
and other professionals), workers' compensation law and employment
litigation. He is general counsel to a nationwide construction
company and oversees the litigation process and the activities
of local counsel practicing in the various jurisdictions in
which the company conducts business. He provides guidance
regarding the preparation of construction contracts for specific
projects and renders advice regarding the establishment and
implementation of risk management policies, practices and
procedures.
Mr. Weinberger
is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Colorado (Boulder,
Colorado campus) and co-teaches a forensic psychology class
for upper level undergraduate students. He has also lectured
at seminars involving tort litigation, personal injury and
workers' compensation law, and medical malpractice.
Mr.
Weinberger is presently the state liaison for the Defense Research Institute (DRI)
Workers' Compensation Committee and is a DRI Toxic Tort Committee member. He is
a former Chairperson of the Colorado Bar Association Workers' Compensation Committee
and Co-Chairperson of the Colorado Bar Association Workers' Compensation Legislative
Committee. As Co-Chairperson of the Colorado Bar Association Workers' Compensation
Legislative Committee, he testified on behalf of the Colorado Bar Association
regarding proposed workers' compensation legislation before the Colorado General
Assembly. He is a member of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association and the DRI,
and a member of the Denver, Colorado, and American Bar Associations. |
